Roxanne's Therapeutic Massage
It's Your Time For Some Relaxation and Restoration

Massage Length Recommendations

When scheduling your appointment here are a couple of things to consider:

Timing: When you come in for your massage, please note that the massage session length is the actual hands on massage time.  So please allow about an extra 15 minutes into your schedule for our consultations and your time to get on and off the treatment table without feeling rushed.

Benefits of Massage Session Length:

A 1 Hour Massage is a good length for:

  • Doing deep focus work on one particular region - like on the upper torso/neck.
  • If you only have one main area of tension/pain that you want to focus on and you want to also give the rest of your body some massage time too.
  • It is also enough time for a very relaxing massage.

A 1.5 Hour Massage is a good length for:

  • Working on several targeted areas, as well as get a full body massage.
  • This amount of time will also allow you to melt into a more restful massage.

A 2 Hour Massage is a good length for:

  • Fully working the body including several areas of stress and tension/pain.
  • Total and complete relaxation no matter what pressure or techniques were used during the massage.

Note: The 2 hour is my personal favorite massage length of time.  When I get a massage this long I feel like I really got a break from my day, and that my muscle issues were fully addressed.  And that is also why I like giving 2 hour massages best.  I know that my clients feel fully relaxed and has attained better mobility throughout their body.  In all my years massaging I've never met anyone who didn't absolutely relish a 2 hour massage.
